ALL COURT SESSIONS ARE HELD IN PERSON AT THE MUNICIPAL COURT, LOCATED IN THE ED J. KNEUPPER JUSTICE CENTER BUILDING AT 402 S. SEGUIN RD.

The City of Converse Municipal Court is a court of record, and handles all class C misdemeanor traffic and City Ordinance violations issued by Converse Police, Animal Control, and Code Enforcement Departments. 

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm*

*Wednesdays closed for lunch 11am-Noon and open for Court business only from Noon - 5 pm

Municipal Court is generally held on three Wednesdays of each month. Check in time is 12pm and court starts when the Judge takes the bench. Defendants are called in alphabetical order. All times are approximate and may be later than posted depending on the case load. *No phone calls accepted while Court is in session.  In order to appear before the Judge, defendants must be scheduled on the docket of the specified court date which is printed on the citation under the signature line. If a person is not scheduled on the court docket they will not be able to appear before the Judge.

To update a phone number, address, or email please contact the court at (210) 658-8021, or court@conversetx.net, prior to the court date.  Defendant's name will be called 3 times, failure to appear can result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.

WARRANTS:

Warrants are issued when a defendant fails to appear, or has unsatisfied judgements. Warrants issued by the City of Converse can be paid by mail, in person, or online. 

Accepted payment methods are: Money order, Credit/Debit Card, or Cash. 

PERSONAL CHECKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED

Ed J. Kneupper Justice Center

The Justice Center is dedicated to the late Ed J. Kneupper who served as the first mayor of Converse from 1961-1971. The Justice Center houses the Municipal Court Sessions,  City Council chambers, and Police Department.
