Heroes Memorial Monument
We believe that service to our country is something that should be celebrated, honored, and remembered.
The Heroes Memorial Monument acknowledges and memorializes individuals who have served and sacrificed in our nation’s Armed Forces. While many monuments exist across the nation, City leaders felt that many families would benefit from having a community monument to tell the story of the impact of our local heroes who bravely fought for and defended our freedom.
The memorial is located at the Converse Senior Center, 405 S. Seguin, Converse, TX 78109; constructed of granite and features a large purple heart stone standing 6 ft. at its tallest point.
6 individual, 3 ft. pillars, represent each branch of military service: Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Space Force. The monument has been placed between two large flagpoles, flying the United States and the POW/MIA flags. Modern lighting provides readability to the monument both day and night.
